The West Pier at Brighton has been in this sorry state for the past 5 years now, ever since vandals decided to warm the place up a little (listen to me...vandals...I sound like an old man moaning about the price of bacon)

Fortunately for me, I love taking photographs of this sort of thing - I didn't even bother with the Palace/Brighton Pier behind me with all its flashing lights and chavs. This is far more interesting. Oh and the structure framing the pier's remains is an artists representation of a ship's hull. Heavy.
